V for Vendetta is about Anarchy

This weekend a new movie featuring anarchist themes, V for Vendetta, opens at theaters. The movie features actors Hugo Weaving and Natalie Portman. The film is based on graphic novels of the same name by Alan Moore. The film has received positive reviews from critics, spawned public debate about anarchism, spurred a conservative backlash against the film as promoting terrorism, and inspired some rather ignorant editorials about anarchism.
