Call Out To Activists! Vivisector Conference in SLC
Don't Miss ...
The annual meeting of the American Association for Laboratory Animal Science (AALAS) October 15-19, 2006 at the Salt Palace Convention Center in Salt Lake City, Utah and sponsored by an old favorite, Huntingdon Life Sciences!
They're Expecting Us and hosting nifty workshops like... Infiltration by Animal Rights Groups, When Activism Crosses the Line (the FBI perspective on Animal Rights), and warn their participants to conceal their name badges and never walk alone.
Every activist is guaranteed a vegan household to stay in, so you don't have to worry about expensive hotels. A five-day permit has been obtained for legal demonstrations. It is more important now than ever for activists around the country to make their presence known and show the government and scientific community that we will not be scared away by state harassment. Let's show them how strong we are.
Legal Suggestions:
- Salt Lake cops are known to arrest people for little or nothing. Those with outstanding warrants or persons on probation might consider not attending even though these are legally permitted protests.
- Keep security culture in mind. Think about what you say in front of others and on the phone and never be pressured into anything by someone you're not familiar with.
