What Non-violent resistence looks like
by Drew Edmondson
Most people have not actually witnessed non-violent resistence resulting in arrest. This sort of action, like ours, is meant to draw closer attention to the lies and actions of our government and educate others. Many of us have gone through the cycle of activism consisting of letters, joining groups, attending rallies and marches. We have found that this has not been enough. The next logical step is planned non-violent resistence with the probability of arrest.
Below is a link to an edited movie of our arrest on November 18, 2005 when we shut down a military recruitment center in Lakewood, Colorado as our part in a national day of action. See for yourself what it involves. Note:This is a 5 minute movie, you may have to update your Quicktime.
