Big Read: New Orleans’s Host Major Librarian Convention

by Steve Sabludowsky
Librarians are a quiet sort. New Orleans is a loud sometimes rambunctious place to visit and live. So, librarians mean New Orleans and meet the state police and national guard to protect you.

The City tourist officials hope that the Libriarian convention will be the first of many. While there has been an increase of violent crime in the last week, New Orleans has also put on a very successful Mardi Gras, Jazz Festival and even an election.

New Orlsans might have a long way to go, but with success conventions like this, it will put away the notion that the Big Easy is not the Big Disarray which librarians who are very specific where things go are not inclined to want to read about chaos.
